Teacher's Guide to Grading & Assignments
Create assignments, enter grades, and track your students' progress.
Create an assignment
Go to Assignments → Create. Select your class and subject, add a title, instructions, due date, and total marks. Choose whether it's a quiz, homework, project, or exam.
Set assignment type
Mark the assignment as Summative (counts toward final grade) or Formative (for practice only). This controls how it affects the overall grade calculation.
Enter grades
When grading, go to Gradebook → select your class. Enter marks in the spreadsheet grid for each student. The system automatically calculates percentages and letter grades.
Add feedback
Click any grade cell to expand it and add written feedback for the student. Parents and students can see this feedback in their portals.
Review class performance
Use the analytics panel to see the class average, grade distribution, and which students may need extra help. Compare performance across assignments.
Tips & Best Practices
- Set clear grading rubrics before creating assignments so students know expectations.
- Use formative assessments regularly to track progress without pressure.
- Add feedback along with grades — parents appreciate knowing how their child can improve.
