Quick Setup Guide

Get your school up and running on Skoolia in under 30 minutes.

1

Create your account

Sign up at skoolia.io with your email address. You will receive a verification email — click the link to activate your account.

2

Set up your organization

Enter your school name, upload your logo, choose your country and timezone. This information appears on reports, invoices, and the parent portal.

3

Configure your academic year

Go to Settings → Academic Year. Create your current academic year and define terms (semesters, trimesters, or quarters). Set the start and end dates for each term.

4

Add your staff

Navigate to Settings → User Management. Invite teachers, registrars, and accountants by email. Each person receives a secure invitation link to create their account.

5

Create classes

Go to Classes and create your class structure. Set the class name, grade level, and student capacity. You can assign a homeroom teacher to each class.

6

Add students

Navigate to Students and add students individually or use Bulk Import to upload from a CSV or Excel file. The AI Column Mapper will automatically match your file columns to Skoolia fields.

7

Configure subjects

Go to Subjects and add your curriculum subjects. Link subjects to the appropriate grade levels and assign teachers to each subject per class.

8

Set up your grading system

In Settings → Grading, choose your grading scale (letter grades, numerical, or custom). Configure passing thresholds and GPA mapping rules.

Tips & Best Practices

  • Start with one class to test your workflow before importing all students.
  • Use the bulk import feature to save time — it supports CSV and Excel files.
  • Invite a colleague as Admin so you have backup access to the system.
  • Set up your academic calendar events early so they appear on everyone's dashboard.
