How to Add and Manage Students

Add students individually, import in bulk, and manage student profiles.

Navigate to Students

Click "Students" in the main sidebar. You'll see a list of all enrolled students with search and filter options.

Add a single student

Click "Add Student" and fill in the required fields: full name, date of birth, gender, and class assignment. You can also add parent/guardian contact information, emergency contacts, and any custom fields.

Bulk import from file

Click "Import Students" and upload a CSV or Excel file. The AI Column Mapper will automatically detect and map your columns (e.g., "First Name" → "first_name"). Review the mapping, fix any mismatches, and confirm the import.

Manage student profiles

Click any student name to view their full profile. You can update personal details, view academic history, check attendance records, and see fee status — all from one screen.

Enroll students in classes

From a student's profile, click "Enrollment" to assign them to a class. You can also manage enrollment from the Classes page by selecting a class and adding students.

Student status management

Update student status (Active, Inactive, Transferred, Graduated) from their profile. Inactive students are hidden from daily operations but their records are preserved.

Tips & Best Practices

  • Prepare your import file with column headers matching common names (First Name, Last Name, Date of Birth, etc.) — the AI mapper handles the rest.
  • Add parent email addresses during student creation so parents can be automatically invited to the Parent Portal.
  • Use filters to quickly find students by class, grade level, or enrollment status.
